Belgian Figure Skating Championships
The Belgian Figure Skating Championships ( nl, Belgisch Kampioenschap; french: Championnat de Belgique) are the figure skating national championship held annually to determine the national champions of Belgium. Skaters compete in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, ice dancing, and synchronized skating, although not every discipline is held every year due to a lack of participants. The event is organized by Fédération Royale Belge de Patinage Artistique, the sport's national governing body. A figure skating competition is a judged sports competition in figure skating. Lommel
Lommel () is a municipality and a city in the Belgian province of Limburg. The Kempen city has about 34,000 inhabitants and is part of the electoral district and the judicial district Lommel Neerpelt. Maaseik
Maaseik (; li, Mezeik) is a city and municipality in the Belgian province of Limburg. Both in size (close to 77 km2) and in population (approx. 25,000 inhabitants, of whom some 3,000 non-Belgian), it is the 8th largest municipality in Limburg. The town is the seat of the administrative arrondissement of Maaseik (''kieskanton''). Internationally, Maaseik is known as the assumed birthplace of the famous Flemish painters Jan and Hubert van Eyck. Ruben Blommaert
Ruben Blommaert (born 5 March 1992) is a Belgian-born German pair skater. With his skating partner, Alisa Efimova, he is the 2022 Grand Prix of Espoo silver medalist. He also holds Belgian citizenship and competed for Belgium in single skating until 2010. Blommaert began representing Germany after teaming up with Annabelle Prölß to compete in pairs. They won the 2013 Cup of Nice and the 2013 German national title. He and his next partner, Mari Vartmann, won four ISU Challenger Series medals and the 2015 Cup of Nice. With Annika Hocke, Blommaert won silver medals at the 2017 CS Minsk-Arena Ice Star and 2017 International Cup of Nice and competed at the 2018 Winter Olympics. He competed for one season with Elena Pavlova. Personal life Ruben Blommaert was born on 5 March 1992 in Bruges, Belgium. Jorik Hendrickx
Jorik Hendrickx (born 18 May 1992) is a Belgian former competitive figure skater. He is the 2017 CS Nebelhorn Trophy champion, the 2016 CS Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, a three-time Coupe du Printemps champion (2012, 2013, 2016), the 2017 International Challenge Cup champion, and a three-time Belgian national champion (2010, 2016, 2017). He qualified to the final segment at five World Championships and two Winter Olympics, finishing 16th in 2014 and 14th in 2018. He placed in the top ten at five European Championships. Personal life Jorik Hendrickx was born in Turnhout, Belgium. He studied sport marketing and management at Johan Cruyff University in Tilburg.
