Belden Bly
Belden Gerald Bly Jr. (September 29, 1914 in Everett, Massachusetts – November 3, 2006 in Wakefield, Massachusetts) was an American teacher and member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives for 16 terms from 1949 to 1980, representing Saugus, Massachusetts. Bly was born in Everett and grew up in Revere, Massachusetts. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1938. He received a master's degree in education from Boston University in 1941 and a law degree from Suffolk University in 1955. Bly was a Rockefeller Republican; a social liberal, but conservative on matters such as the economy and national defense. In 1974, he championed the creation of a non-smoking section of the House. Bly served on the Ways and Means Committee and the Committee on Aging. Bly also was a biology and practical law teacher, as well as a coach for the golf, baseball, basketball, football and track teams at Saugus High School. Belden Hill
Belden L. Hill (August 24, 1864 - October 22, 1934) was a third baseman in Major League Baseball who played for the Baltimore Orioles of the American Association in nine games in 1890. He remained active as a player in minor league baseball through 1905. Hill helped found the Cedar Rapids Bunnies minor league teaand managed the club from 1896–1908 and 1913-1914. Belden Namah (born 30 December 1969) is a Papua New Guinea politician. He is a Member of the National Parliament of Papua New Guinea for the Papua New Guinea Party, representing Vanimo-Green since 2007. He served in Cabinet from 2007 to 2010 and as Deputy Prime Minister from 2011 to 2012. From 2012, he was an important member of the Parliamentary opposition. After retaining his seat in the 2022 election, he rejoined the government benches. Military career Namah originates from Vanimo near the border of Indonesia. David Belden Lyman (July 28, 1803 – October 4, 1884) was an early American missionary to Hawaii who opened a boarding school for Hawaiians. His wife Sarah Joiner Lyman (1805–1885) taught at the boarding school and kept an important journal. They had several notable descendants. Brace Robert Belden is an American podcaster and union activist who volunteered to serve with the People's Protection Units (YPG), a Kurdish militia, in the Syrian Civil War. Belden is also widely known by his former Twitter handle, PissPigGranddad. He is currently the co-host of the podcast TrueAnon with Liz Franczak. Early life Belden was born to Jewish parents in San Francisco and grew up in Corte Madera, California. His father is a journalist at a local TV station, and his brother works in tech. His mother died by suicide when he was six years old.
