Chokri Belaid
Chokri Belaïd ( ar, شكري بلعيد, Shukrī Bil‘īd; 26 November 1964 – 6 February 2013), also transliterated as Shokri Belaïd, was a Tunisian politician and lawyer who was an opposition leader with the left-secular Democratic Patriots' Movement. Belaïd was a vocal critic of the Ben Ali regime prior to the 2011 Tunisian revolution and of the then Islamist-led Tunisian government. On 6 February 2013, he was fatally shot outside his house in El Menzah, close to the Tunisian capital, Tunis. As a result of his assassination, Tunisian Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali announced his plan to dissolve the existing national government and to form a temporary "national unity" government. The Tijāniyyah ( ar, الطريقة التجانية, Al-Ṭarīqah al-Tijāniyyah, The Tijānī Path) is a Sufi tariqa (order, path), originating in the Maghreb but now more widespread in West Africa, particularly in Senegal, The Gambia, Mauritania, Mali, Guinea, Niger, Chad, Ghana, Northern and South-western Nigeria and some part of Sudan. Belaid Abdessalam
Belaid Abdessalam ( ar, بلعيد عبد السلام) (20 July 1928 – 27 June 2020) was an Algerian politician, who served as Prime Minister from 1992 to 1993. Biography Abdessalam was born in Dehamcha, Sétif Province, Algeria on 20 July 1928. Abdessalam was a nationalist leader in the FLN during Algeria's struggle for independence from France. He was minister of industry and power under the military regime of Houari Boumedienne, and his name was closely connected with the former Algerian state policy of building a base of heavy industry through planned economy. Abdessalam served as Head of Government of Algeria from 8 July 1992 until 21 August 1993. He also hold the portfolio of Minister of Finance. During his tenure, the Algerian Civil War with Islamist rebels intensified. Belaïd Abrika ( ar, بلعيد عبريكا, born December 10, 1969 in Tizi Ouzou) is a professor of economics at the Mouloud Mammeri University of Tizi-Ouzou.
