Beijing Mass Transit Railway Operation Corporation Limited (北京市地铁运营有限公司) formerly known as the Beijing Municipal Subway Company (北京市地下铁道总公司), is the Beijing city-owned company that operates 8 lines of the Beijing Subway. Like many Chinese state-owned companies, it is managed by a chief executive and overseen by a board of directors / party committee. The Company has about 10,000 employees. The Beijing Subway is the rapid transit system of Beijing Municipality that consists of 25 lines including 20 rapid transit lines, two airport rail links, one maglev line and 2 light rail lines, and 463 stations.
