Beiguan Music
Beiguan () is a type of traditional music, melody and theatrical performance between the 17th and mid-20th centuries. It was widespread in Taiwan. By the early 21st century its popularity had declined precipitously. ''Beiguan'' usually uses the following instruments: two ''suona'' (oboes), ''bangzi'' (woodblock), ''daluo'' (large bossed gong), ''xiaoluo'' (small gong), ''bangu (instrument), bangu'' (high-pitched drum), ''tonggu'' (small drum), ''xiaobo'' (small cymbals), and ''dabo'' (large cymbals) and pipa. It may also use ''dagu'' (large drum), various ''huqin'', and plucked instruments. Yangjiang
Yangjiang (, ), alternately romanized as Yeungkong, is a prefecture-level city in southwestern Guangdong Province in the People's Republic of China. It borders Maoming to the west, Yunfu to the north, Jiangmen to the east, and looks out to the South China Sea to the south. The local dialect is the Gaoyang dialect, a branch of Yue Chinese. During the 2020 census, its population was 2,602,959 inhabitants of whom 1,292,987 lived in the built-up (''or metro'') and largely urbanized area comprising Jiangcheng District and Yangdong County. Jiexiu
Jiexiu is a county-level city in the central part of Shanxi Province, China. It is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Jinzhong and is located in the latter's western confines. Notable sites in and around Jiexiu include Mount Mian, Zhangbi Fortress, Houtu Temple and Xianshenlou. Names The territory around was known as Mianshang under the Zhou. By the Jin, the territory was known as Dingyang and the settlement at Jiexiu proper as Pingchang. Under the Northern Wei (4th–5th century), both became known as JiexiuCommandery.
