Behan Bhai
''Behan Bhai'' is a 1968 Pakistani drama film directed by Hassan Tariq who also wrote the screenplay. The film stars an ensemble cast of Nadeem, Kamal, Rani, Deeba, Ejaz, Husna, Aliya Begum and Aslam Pervaiz. The music was composed by A. Hameed. The film was screened at Lok Virsa Museum, Pakistan in March 2017. Plot A woman, with her five children, heads towards the newly created Pakistan along with a refugee caravan. The caravan faces a deadly storm and all the children get separated from each other. Years pass away, the mother loses her mental balance due to the separation of her children. On the other hand, all of her children grow up and live their own lives separately except for the sister, who lives in village with one of her brothers who is unemployed. While others adapt different ways to make a living like pickpocketing, procuring and working as an office worker. Hassan Tariq
Hassan Tariq (22 October 1934 – 24 April 1982) was a Pakistani film director, film producer and screenwriter who was famous for making films like Anjuman, Kaneez, Baharo Phool Barsao, ''Dewar Bhabhi''. Early life and career Hassan was born on 22 October 1934 in Amritsar, India. He migrated to Pakistan after its establishment. He started his career as an assistant director. He directed his first film, ''Neend'' (Sleep) in 1959 and became a successful director. He made around 40 films in Pakistan film industry and was the main reason behind the success of his wife Rani. Personal life Hassan married three times. He was married with actress Nighat Sultana, dancer Emi Minwala and actress Rani. Death He died on 24 April 1982 at Lahore, Pakistan. Fayyaz Hashmi ( ur, ; 1920 2011) was a Pakistani poet and screenwriter who worked both in the Cinema of India, Indian and Cinema of Pakistan, Pakistani film industry. He penned some memorable songs such as the famous nazm Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo and ''Tasveer teri dil mera behela nah sakegi''.
