Carol Bolt
Carol Bolt (August 25, 1941 – November 28, 2000) was a Canadian playwright. She was a founding member and, for several years, president of the Playwrights Union of Canada. Career Bolt's play ''Buffalo Jump'', an examination of Canada during the depression era of the 1930s, was performed at Theatre Passe Muraille in 1972. Bolt's best known play, the thriller ''One Night Stand'', was first performed in 1977, and was turned into a made-for-television film by Allan King in 1978; the film won several awards, and received mixed reviews. Her play ''Red Emma'', told the story of radical anarchist Emma Goldman. Her last play was ''Famous'', produced on stage in 1997, based on the real-life story of criminals Paul Bernardo and Karla Holmolka. For television, Bolt's writing credits include ''Tales of the Klondike'', two episodes of the animated children's series ''The Raccoons'', and a single episode of ''Fraggle Rock''. Richard Hunt (puppeteer)
Richard Hunt (August 17, 1951 – January 7, 1992) was an American puppeteer, best known as a Muppet performer on ''Sesame Street'', ''The Muppet Show'', ''Fraggle Rock'', and other projects for The Jim Henson Company. His roles on ''The Muppet Show'' included Scooter, Statler, Janice, Beaker, and Sweetums and characters on ''Sesame Street'' include Gladys the Cow, Don Music, and Forgetful Jones. Early life Hunt was born in The Bronx, New York City. The family eventually moved to Closter, New Jersey some years later. Hunt came from a family of performers. As a student in middle school and high school, he put on puppet shows for local children, and was a fan of the then-fledgling Muppets. After high school graduation, and a four-month stint of doing weather reports at a local radio station, Hunt pursued a meeting with Jim Henson. Les Rose was a Canadian film and television director. The Dark Crystal
''The Dark Crystal'' is a 1982 dark fantasy film directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz. It stars the voices of Stephen Garlick, Lisa Maxwell, Billie Whitelaw, Percy Edwards, and Barry Dennen. Sugith Varughese (born 25 April 1957) is an Indian-born Canadian writer, director and actor. Background Born in Cochin, Kerala, India into a Syriac Saint Thomas Christian family ("Varughese," also sometimes spelled "Varghese" and "Verghese" and variously pronounced, is Syriac-Malayalam for "George"), he immigrated to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan as a child when his neurosurgeon father obtained a professional appointment there. Barrie Phillip Nichol (30 September 1944 – 25 September 1988), known as bpNichol, was a Canadian poet, writer, sound poet, editor, Creative Writing teacher at York University in Toronto and grOnk/Ganglia Press publisher. Peter Harris (director)
Peter Harris (1933 – 23 February 2021) was an English television director, best known for his work on ''The Muppet Show'', ''Spitting Image'' and ''Bullseye''. Life and career Harris was one of just two directors on the original ''The Muppet Show'', working on the first 73 episodes. In 1984, Harris became the director of the British satirical television puppet show ''Spitting Image''. He was chosen for the role due to his previous work on ''The Muppet Show''. During the 1980s, Harris also directed the British game show ''Bullseye'', and coined several of the catchphrases of presenter Jim Bowen, including "Stay out of the black and in the red, there's nothing in this game for two in a bed".
