Blake Beavan
Blake William Beavan (born January 17, 1989) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. A first-round draft pick in the 2007 MLB Draft by the Texas Rangers, Beavan was traded to the Seattle Mariners in 2010 in a package of prospects for Cliff Lee. In 2011, he made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut with the Mariners. Early life Beavan began playing baseball at the age of 5 in the Irving Boys Baseball Association. Career Amateur career Beavan attended Irving High School in Irving, Texas. He was voted the district's freshman of the year in 2004. In 2006, his junior season, he led Irving to the playoffs for the first time since 1999. He had the lowest earned run average (ERA), 0.36, in Class 5A. Charles Beavan
Charles Beavan (1805-1884) was a British barrister and law reporter. He was born in March 1805, the son of Hugh Beavan of Llowes, Radnorshire and educated at Aldenham and Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, graduating 22nd wrangler in 1829, B.A. in 1829, and M.A. in 1832. He became a barrister of the Middle Temple on 25 June 1830, and a bencher on 6 May 1873. He practised in Chancery courts and was an official examiner of Court of Chancery from June 1866 to January 1884 when that office was abolished. He was author of ''Reports of cases in Chancery argued and determined in the Rolls Court'' (1840–69), published in 36 volumes, the longest series of authorized reports ever published.Frederic Boase. George Beavan
George David Beavan (born 13 February 1990 and is an English footballer who plays as a defender for Tonbridge Angels in the Isthmian League Premier Division. Career Beavan was given a trial at Luton in 2006 by then youth team coach Marvin Johnson, and was a member of the youth team for the 2006–07 season. He made his first team debut in the 4–1 defeat at home to Bournemouth on 9 February 2008 as a substitute, and made one more appearance that season as Luton were relegated to League Two. Robert Cecil Beavan
Captain Robert Cecil Beavan (1841 – 3 February 1870), corresponding member of the Zoological Society of London, served in India with the Bengal Staff Corps for 10 years. During his short life he collected specimens of birds and eggs at various locations. He contributed notes to the Ibis journal as wells as the Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London. He also collaborated with Allan Octavian Hume. His collection of eggs and birds went into the Natural History Museum through the Tweeddale and Godman-Salvin collections. In 1864 Beavan worked at Barrackpore and the winter of that year was spent in the Maunbhoom District, an area studied earlier by Samuel Tickell and Edward Blyth. Margaret Beavan
Margaret Beavan (1877 – 22 February 1931) was an English politician who was the first female Lord Mayor of Liverpool in 1927. Beaven attended Belvedere School, and then the Royal Holloway College. She was also educated at Liverpool Institute High School for Girls, in the same form as Maude Royden. Outside of her political career, she was a well known campaigner for the welfare of children and their mothers. She founded the Liverpool Child Welfare Association, Liverpool Open Air Hospital for Children, Royal Liverpool Babies Hospital, Ellen Gonner Convalescent Home, and the Tired Mothers' Rest Home.
