Beauties Of The Night (documentary)
''Beauties of the Night'' (in Spanish ''Bellas de noche'') is a 2016 Mexican documentary film. It is the first production of the filmmaker María José Cuevas. The film shows a glimpse of the glory, sunset and resurgence of five of the main showgirls ( vedettes) that triumphed in Mexico in the decades of the 1970s and 1980s. Synopsis They were the ''Queens of the Night'' in Mexico in the 1970's and 1980's. The names of the great vedettes illuminated the streets of Mexico City from the canopies of the big nightclubs, cabarets and theaters. But time passed. Nightlife changed in Mexico. New types of entertainment replaced them and the vedettes seemed to have been forgotten. Olga Breeskin
Olga Breeskin Torres (September 22, 1951) is a Mexican violinist, dancer and actress. She was one of the most famous Mexican vedettes in 1970s and 1980s. Since her conversion to Christianity, she has only presented herself as a violinist. Early life Olga Breeskin was born in Mexico City. She is the daughter of Ukrainian violinist and conductor Elias Breeskin. She and her brother as children learned to play the violin from their father. When Breeskin was 13 years old; she and her brother were forced to support the family and began to play their violins for tips in restaurants. Breeskin later confessed that she kept some of the tip money for herself by hiding it in her shoe. Later, Ernesto Valz, the owner of a Mexico City night-club chain, discovered Breeskin playing her violin for tips during lunch. Sherbrooke is a rural community on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada, in Guysborough County. It is located along the St. Mary's River, a major river in Nova Scotia.
