Beaumont School is a private, all-girls, International Baccalaureate, Catholic school located in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, United States. It is accredited by the Ohio Department of Education, the North Central Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges, and the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association. It is a part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. History While Beaumont has existed since 1942 at its current location, the former 21-acre estate of famed banker Kenyon Painter, it traces its origin to 1850, making it the oldest school in the Cleveland Diocese and the oldest secondary school in Cleveland. It continues to operate under the original Ohio state charter granted in 1854 to the Ursuline Sisters for the education of young women. The current location sits adjacent to the 279-acre Shaker Lakes parklands, a designated National Environmental Education Landmark. Beaumont School (St Albans)
Beaumont School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. It was founded in 1938 and has become a school of over 1200 students, including 300 in the sixth form. It is situated to the east of St Albans in Hertfordshire and is within access of the city centre. In 2003 it achieved a Language College status and in 2007, having been identified as a High Performing Specialist School, Beaumont was then able to obtain a second specialism as a Maths and Computing College. In 2007 Beaumont achieved the International Award from the British Council and offered the International Baccalaureate as an alternative to A-levels; as of 2011 the IB is no longer offered at Beaumont school. A December 2008 Ofsted inspection accorded the school a Grade 2 (good), whilst the sixth form achieved an outstanding rating. The school converted to academy status on 1 July 2012. Beaumont College
Beaumont College was between 1861 and 1967 a public school in Old Windsor in Berkshire. Founded and run by the Society of Jesus, it offered a Roman Catholic public school education in rural surroundings, while lying, like the neighbouring Eton College, within easy reach of London. It was therefore for many professional Catholics with school-age children a choice preferable to Stonyhurst College, the longer-standing Jesuit public school in North Lancashire. After the college's closure in 1967 the property was used in turn as a training centre, a conference centre and an hôtel; St John's Beaumont, the college's preparatory school for boys aged 3–13, continues, functioning in part as a feeder school for Stonyhurst.
