Crossover thrash (often abbreviated to crossover) is a fusion genre of thrash metal and hardcore punk. The genre lies on a continuum between heavy metal and hardcore punk. ''Fuck the System'' is the eighth album by Scottish hardcore punk band The Exploited, released on 17 February 2003 by Dream Catcher Records. ''Fuck the System'' was available in the United States in a "clean version" with its anti-authoritarian title censored to ''F*** the System'' and edits made to the tracks themselves. The production value of this album is much higher than The Exploited's earlier work. Controversy On 14 October 2003 about 500 fans of the band started a riot in Montreal, Quebec, Canada after an Exploited concert was cancelled due to the band not being allowed into the country. Rioters destroyed eight cars and set them on fire; broke 11 store windows and caused other damage. The band were banned from playing in Mexico City due to the riot. ''End of Disclosure'' is the twelfth studio album by Swedish death metal band Hypocrisy. It was released on 22 March 2013. To promote the album, Nuclear Blast released the music video "Tales of Thy Spineless" on 4 April. Background Frontman Peter Tägtgren described ''End of Disclosure'' as a "back to basics" album. He indicated that the album was written after reflecting on the preceding albums, for which he felt that the band "lost it". By contrast, Tägtgren described ''End of Disclosure'' as "straight to the point. It's more Hypocrisy than ever — the fast, the heavy, the epic." On 22 February 2013, Hypocrisy released a video for the title track of the album, "End of Disclosure". Hypocrisy is a Swedish death metal band formed in October 1991 in Ludvika by Peter Tägtgren. History After spending three years in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1990, founder Peter Tägtgren returned to his homeland of Sweden, to form his own band. Hypocrisy's early releases were noted as being well-executed death metal, but panned for not being particularly innovative. That criticism waned as the band matured, cultivating a more distinctive sound as well as employing an introspective lyrical approach. Later releases have a more atmospheric sound, with lyrical exploration of aliens and abduction experiences. Tägtgren's experience as a producer may also have led to the band's change in musical direction, as he is more closely involved with many other bands while producing their albums.
