''Beam'' (stylized as ''BEAM'') is the fourth full-length studio album by Japanese singer and songwriter Meg, released on December 5, 2007 in Japan by Universal J. The album is produced by Capsule member Yasutaka Nakata of Perfume fame and is her first album under Universal Music. The album also is simultaneously released with Nakata's other effort with Capsule, Flash Back. The album debuted at number 24 in the Oricon Weekly Charts, selling 10,544 units on its first week of release. ''Beam'' was also released in Taiwan on January 4, 2008, and is her only album released in the country. The album spans two singles: the independent limited release of "Amai Zeitaku" under Meg's now defunct label, Shampoo Nine records, and "OK", her debut single under Universal Music Universal Music Group N.V. Clazziquai Project (Hangul: ), also known as Clazziquai, is a South Korean electropop band that combines several genres including electronic music, acid jazz and house. The band's first short unofficial albums were released online in 2001, spreading its music through words of "netizens," who positively received the band's music. DJ Clazzi (born Kim Sung-hoon; 15 November 1974), better known simply by his stage name Clazzi, is a South Korean composer, singer, lyricist, record producer and DJ. He is the leader of the South Korean electropop band Clazziquai, that was formed in 2001 and debuted in 2004 with the album ''Instant Pig''. Perfume (Japanese Band)
is a Japanese pop girl group from Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, consisting of Ayano Omoto ("Nocchi"), Yuka Kashino ("KASHIYUKA") and Ayaka Nishiwaki ("a-chan"). The group has been signed with Amuse, Inc. since 2003 and with Universal Music Group since 2012. The group was formed in early 2000 inside the young talent academy Actor's School Hiroshima and debuted with their first Hiroshima-local single "Omajinai Perori" released on March 21, 2002. Contemode
Contemode, stylized in all lowercase, was a Japanese record label founded by Yasutaka Nakata in 2003. The label was based in Shibuya, Tokyo and specialized in a variety of music styles including electropop, Shibuya-kei, lounge, dance, and hardcore house. Yamaha Music Communications, the music subsidiary of Yamaha, was its official parent company, while Pony Canyon (from 2003 to 2006) and Avex Trax (from 2006 to 2013) served as its distributors. In 2013, the label officially ceased operations. Capsule (band)
is a Japanese electronica band consisting of producer Yasutaka Nakata and vocalist Toshiko Koshijima. Career Capsule formed in November 1997, after Yasutaka Nakata and Toshiko Koshijima met at the Teens' Music Festival in the Hokuriku area convention when they were both 17 years old. Their first single was "Sakura", released in March 2001 on Yamaha Music Communications. Their first album, ''High Collar Girl'', was significantly different from their later works in that it did not involve nearly as much use of synthesizers or contain futuristic/electronic sounds. Capsule's style in albums up to ''L.D.K.
