Başkent University ( tr, Başkent Üniversitesi) is a private university in Ankara, Turkey. The university was founded on 13 January 1994 by Professor Dr. Mehmet Haberal. The University center is located in Ankara and also has Medical and Research Centers and Dialysis Centers all around Turkey. History Başkent University, the first private university to teach health sciences in Turkey, was founded in 1993 with the cooperation of the Turkish Organ Transplant and Burns Treatment Foundation and the Haberal Education Foundation. The university has developed and grown over the past eight years without governmental support. The construction of the buildings began on campus in 1995 and many other facilities have been added since then. The Başkent Yıldızları S.K., abbreviated form of Başkent Yıldızları Buz Pateni ve Buz Hokeyi Spor Kulübü, is a sports club founded in 1988 in Ankara, Turkey with a professional men's and a women's ice hockey team. The men participate in the Turkish Hockey Super Lig (TBHSL) and the women participate in the Turkish Ice Hockey Women's League The Turkish Women's Ice Hockey League, also known as the Kadınlar Ligi in Turkish, is a women's amateur ice hockey league in Turkey. Başkent Volleyball Hall
Başkent Volleyball Hall, ( tr, Başkent Voleybol Salonu) is an indoor volleyball venue within the TVF Sports Complex located at Beşevler neighborhood of Yenimahalle district in Ankara, Turkey. Opened in 2010, the venue has a seating capacity of 7,600 spectators. Construction The sports complex was commissioned by the Turkish Volleyball Federation and its construction began on 8 April 2009 with groundbreaking. The hall was opened on 6 February 2010 and named after "capital city" ( tr, Başkent). In addition to the Başkent Volleyball Hall, there are one training hall with 850-seat capacity, named Beşevler Volleyball Hall, two indoor beach volleyball courts with underfloor heating, various service facilities for sports and administration as well as a hall of fame.
