''Bayan Ko'' (International title: ''The Politician'' / ) is a 2013 Philippine television drama series broadcast by GMA News TV. Directed by Adolfo Alix, Jr., it stars Rocco Nacino. It premiered on March 10, 2013. The series concluded on April 21, 2013 with a total of 7 episodes. The series is streaming online on YouTube. Premise Lagros' newly elected mayor, Joseph Santiago, discovers that a bunch of wayward employees have turned the municipal hall into a boarding house and, worse, have been making under the table deals. His efforts to fight corruption are blocked by a political dynasty led by Governor Antonio Rubio and Congressman Anton Rubio. Betong Sumaya
Alberto Sermonia Sumaya Jr. (born November 21, 1975), popularly known as Betong Sumaya, is a Filipino comedian, actor, and former production assistant for GMA Network, where he is also a part of the network's talent agency. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Filipino and a minor in mass communication from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Sumaya participated in the GMA reality show '' Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Doubles Showdown'' (2011), where he also became the eventual victor. Rafael Aranda Roco, Jr. (born November 20, 1953), popularly known as Bembol Roco, is a Filipino actor whose work ranges from films to television.
