Bay FM 88.0 is a narrowcasting, narrowcast FM broadcasting, FM radio station serving the Tomaree and Tilligerry Peninsulas of Port Stephens Council, Port Stephens in New South Wales, Australia. The station's licence was granted on 29 April 1998 and it transmits from Gan Gan Hill in Nelson Bay, New South Wales, Nelson Bay. Originally broadcasting on 98.3 MHz, the station's frequency was changed to 99.3 MHz on 8 August 2003. The frequency was changed again on 26 February 2015 to 88.0 MHz. Port Stephens Council (also known simply as Port Stephens) is a local government area in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia. The area is just north of Newcastle and is adjacent to the Pacific Highway which runs through Raymond Terrace, the largest town and Council seat. The area is named after Port Stephens, which is the major geographical feature of the area. Nelson Bay, New South Wales
Nelson Bay is a significant township of the Port Stephens local government area in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia. It is located on a bay of the same name on the southern shore of Port Stephens about by road north-east of Newcastle, its nearest rail link. At th2021 census Nelson Bay had a population of 6,141.
