Bay FC
Bay Football Club (Bay FC) is an American professional women's association football, soccer team based in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. They are set to begin play in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) as an expansion team in the 2024 National Women's Soccer League season, 2024 season. Their home stadium will be PayPal Park in San Jose, California, a soccer-specific stadium with 18,000 seats that is also home to the San Jose Earthquakes of Major League Soccer (MLS). The ownership group, which is led by investment firm Sixth Street Partners and four former United States women's national soccer team, United States women's national team players, was awarded an expansion franchise on April 4, 2023. PayPal Park (formerly Earthquakes Stadium and Avaya Stadium) is a soccer-specific stadium in San Jose, California, San Jose, California, United States, and is the home of Major League Soccer's San Jose Earthquakes. The stadium is located on the Airport West site that is located to the west of San Jose International Airport. PayPal Park officially opened on February 27, 2015, and has a capacity of approximately 18,000. The stadium features a canopy roof and some of the steepest-raked seating in Major League Soccer to provide a better view. FC Gold Pride
FC Gold Pride was an American professional soccer club based in the San Francisco Bay Area, which participated in Women's Professional Soccer. The club replaced the San Jose CyberRays of the defunct Women's United Soccer Association as the top-level women's soccer team in the San Francisco Bay Area. FC Gold Pride moved to its final home of Pioneer Stadium on the campus of CSU East Bay in June 2010 after opening their 2010 home schedule at the Castro Valley High School Athletic Stadium. Danielle Victoria Slaton (born June 10, 1980) is an American retired professional soccer player. She is currently a soccer analyst for the San Jose Earthquakes, Fox Sports and the Pac-12 Network. Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) was the top-level professional women's soccer league in the United States. It began play on March 29, 2009. The league was composed of seven teams for its first two seasons and fielded six teams for the 2011 season, with continued plans for future expansion. The WPS was the highest level in the United States soccer pyramid for the women's game. On January 30, 2012, the league announced suspension of the 2012 season, citing several internal organization struggles as the primary cause.
