Bay City (TV Series)
''Bay City'' is an Australian children's television series that first screened on the Seven Network in 1993. The thirteen part series follows the lives of four children in a small city on Australia's west coast. Bay City was produced by Douglas Stanley, directed by Andrew Prowse and Howard Rubie and written by Roger Vaughan Carr, Ken Kelso, Murray Oliver and Trevor Todd. Children's Television Series
Children's television series (or children's television shows) are television programs designed for children, normally scheduled for broadcast during the morning and afternoon when children are awake. They can sometimes run during the early evening, allowing younger children to watch them after school. The purpose of these shows is mainly to entertain or educate. The children's series are in four categories: those aimed at infants and toddlers, those aimed at those aged 6 to 11 years old, those for adolescents and those aimed at all children. Seven Network
The Seven Network (commonly known as Channel Seven or simply Seven) is a major Australian commercial free-to-air Television broadcasting in Australia, television network. It is owned by Seven West Media, Seven West Media Limited, and is one of five main free-to-air television networks in Australia. The network's headquarters are located in Sydney. As of 2014, it is the second-largest network in the country in terms of population reach. The Seven Network shows various nonfiction shows—such as news broadcasts (''Seven News'') and sports programing—as well as fiction shows. In 2011, the network won all 40 out of 40 weeks of the ratings season for total viewers, being the first to achieve this since the introduction of the OzTAM ratings system in 2001. Howard Rubie
Howard William Rubie (27 August 1938 – July 2011) was an Australian director. Born in Sydney, he worked extensively in film and television, and was awarded for his services an Emmy and was nominated for an Australian Film Institute Awards, AFI Award (now known as the AACTA Award). accessed 22 June 2013 and started his career in cinematography and was inducted in 2010 to the Australian Cinematographers Society Hall of Fame.
