Bay Area Ambassadors was an American soccer team based in Hayward, California, United States. Active from 2009 to 2012, the team played in National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), a national amateur league at the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Northwest Division. The team played its home games at Gladiator Stadium on the campus of Chabot College, and the team's colors were white, black and red. Chabot College (Chabot or CC) is a public community college in Hayward, California. It is part of the Chabot-Las Positas Community College District. History Chabot College was the first college opened by the Chabot- Las Positas Community College District. The formation of a “junior college district” was approved by the voters on January 10, 1961, and the first board of trustees elected on April 18, 1961. Chabot College opened for classes on September 11, 1961, on a temporary site in San Leandro with an enrollment of 1,163 students. The Chabot College site on Hesperian Boulevard in Hayward opened for its first day of classes on September 20, 1965. The United States soccer league system is a series of professional and amateur soccer leagues based, in whole or in part, in the United States. Sometimes called the American soccer pyramid, teams and leagues are not linked by the system of promotion and relegation typical in soccer elsewhere.
