Nolan Baumgartner
Nolan Baumgartner (born March 23, 1976) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He was formerly an assistant coach with the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Baumgartner was selected by the Washington Capitals in the 1st round (10th overall) of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. He played parts of ten seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for six different teams. Baumgartner played only one full season in the NHL, 2005–06 with the Vancouver Canucks, and spent most of his playing career in the AHL. Max Bumgardner
Max Andrew Bumgardner (May 13, 1923 – April 12, 2005) was an American football player and coach. After playing college football as an end at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education in 1948, he was selected in the first round of the 1948 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears, but was sent to the Detroit Lions. He played for just one season in the National Football League (NFL), with the Lions. Bumgardner began his coaching career in 1949 at Denison High School in Denison, Texas, where he worked as an assistant under head football coach Les Cranfill. In 1950, he was hired as the head football coach and athletic director at San Angelo College—now known as Angelo State University—in San Angelo, Texas. Bumgardner remained in that post until he resigned in 1968, after the school had become a four-year college and was renamed as Angelo State College. Baumgardner is an American politician who served in the Colorado House of Representatives from the 57th district from 2009 to 2013, and in the Colorado Senate from the 8th district from 2013 to 2019, as a member of the Republican Party. John R. Baumgardner is an American young earth creationist and geophysicist. Biography Baumgardner earned a B.S. from Texas Tech University in 1968, a M.S. from Princeton University in 1970, and a Ph.D. in geophysics and space physics from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1983. He worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and in 2002 joined the staff of the Institute for Creation Research. As a professional scientist, Baumgardner is known for developing TERRA, a finite element code designed to solve problems in mantle convection. In 1994 he presented research at a geophysics conference stating that the slip-sliding geologic plates that cover the Earth might once have moved thousands of times faster than they do today. Zsolt Baumgartner (born 1 January 1981) is a Hungarian former racing driver who raced for the Jordan and Minardi teams in Formula One. He remains the only Hungarian driver to have competed and to have scored a point in Formula One. Stanwood Fulton Baumgartner (December 14, 1894 – October 4, 1955) was an American Major League Baseball pitcher who became a longtime sportswriter in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
