Panadura Royal College ( si, පානදුර රාජකීය විද්යාලය; also known as Royal College Panadura and Royal Maha Vidyalaya, Panadura) is a provincial school in Panadura, Sri Lanka. School backgrounds The school was inaugurated in 1978 as Janadipathy Vidyalaya and later renamed as Royal College Panadura. Current students of the school are referred to in the press as Panadura Royalists. The college conducts classes from grade 1 to 13 in both Sinhala and Tamil medium including English medium from grade six onwards. Wesley College, Colombo, popularly known as "Wesley" or "The Double Blues" is a school providing primary and secondary education in Sri Lanka since 1874. Wesley College is a Methodist educational institution. History In 1858, Rev. Joseph Rippon wanted to establish a superior educational institution for the Wesleyan Methodist Mission in South Ceylon. Big Match
Big Matches are annual cricket matches played between different schools in Sri Lanka. The same schools have played one another for many years, some for over a century, and Big Matches form an important part of modern Sri Lankan culture with both school children and adults taking part in much of the activity that is part of the annual matches.
