''Batman Animated'' is a coffee table book written by Paul Dini and designed by Chip Kidd, about the popular TV show '' Batman: The Animated Series''. It was first published in a hardcover edition in 1998 by Titan Books. A paperback edition of the book was published later. Overview A very picture-heavy book, ''Batman Animated'' features numerous sketches, storyboards, character designs, finished paintings and other material from the popular animated series about Batman, the iconic superhero character in the comic books published by DC Comics. Paul Dini
Paul McClaran Dini (; born August 7, 1957) is an American screenwriter and comic creator. He has been a producer and writer for several Warner Bros. Animation/DC Comics animated series, most notably '' Batman: The Animated Series'' (1992–1995), and the subsequent DC Animated Universe. Dini and Bruce Timm co-created the characters Harley Quinn and Terry McGinnis. Dini began writing for Warner Bros. Animation on ''Tiny Toon Adventures''. In addition to ''Batman: The Animated Series'', Dini was a writer for '' Superman: The Animated Series'' (1996–2000), writer and co-creator for ''The New Batman Adventures'' (1997–1999), and writer and developer for ''Batman Beyond'' (1999–2001). He also co-created ''Freakazoid!'' (1995–1997) with Timm, produced ''Duck Dodgers'' (2003–2005), developed and scripted ''Krypto the Superdog'' (2005–2006). After leaving Warner Bros. Two-Face
Two-Face is a supervillain appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, commonly as an adversary of the superhero Batman. The character was created by Bob Kane and first appeared in ''Detective Comics'' #66 (August 1942). As one of Batman's most enduring enemies, Two-Face belongs to the collective of adversaries that make up Batman's List of Batman Family enemies, rogues gallery. Once a bright and upstanding district attorney of Gotham City dedicated to ridding its streets of crime and corruption, Harvey Dent is hideously scarred on the left side of his face after mob boss Sal Maroni throws acidic chemicals at him during a court trial. He subsequently goes insane and adopts the "Two-Face" persona, becoming a criminal obsessed with the number two, the concept of duality, and the conflict between good and evil.
