Batley is a market town in the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees, in West Yorkshire, England. Batley lies south-west of Leeds, north-west of Wakefield and Dewsbury, south-east of Bradford and north-east of Huddersfield. Batley is part of the Heavy Woollen District. Jamie Batley is a lacrosse coach who has coached several teams in the NLL and the Major Series Lacrosse. Batley is also a former player, who played with the Buffalo Bandits, Syracuse Smash, and Pittsburgh CrosseFire. Batley began his coaching career in Colorado in 2002, when he was hired by new coach Rod Jensen as the offensive coordinator. When Jensen was fired in February 2003, Batley took over as interim coach, and the "interim" tag was removed less than two weeks later. Noeleen Batley (born 25 December 1944) was an Australian pop star in the 1960s and early 1970s. She was known as "Australia's Little Miss Sweetheart". Early life Batley was born in Sydney on Christmas Day, 1944, and began singing at the age of five with her mother's encouragement.
