Bath Historic District (Bath, North Carolina)
Bath Historic District is a historic district in Bath, Beaufort County, North Carolina. The district is now a North Carolina Historic Site belonging to the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources and known as Historic Bath, and includes a visitor center offering guided tours of the Bonner House and Palmer-Marsh House, which is also a National Historic Landmark. Visitors can also tour the Van der Veer House and St. Thomas Episcopal Church. North Carolina Highway 92
North Carolina Highway 92 (NC 92) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It runs through connecting Washington and Bath, entirely in Beaufort County. Route description NC 92 begins at the intersection of North Bridge Street and West 5th Street in downtown Washington, the county seat of Beaufort County. North Bridge Street carries US 17 Business north and south while West 5th Street carries US 264 east and west. NC 92 and US 264 run along a concurrency from this point and travel east-southeast through a mix of businesses, houses, and open space. Bath is a town in Beaufort County, North Carolina, United States. Located on the Pamlico River, it developed a trade in naval stores, furs, and tobacco. The population was 249 as of 2010. Bonner House (Bath, North Carolina)
Bonner House is a historic home located at Bath, North Carolina, Bath, Beaufort County, North Carolina. It was built about 1835, and is a two-story frame dwelling with a one-story wing and rear shed addition. It sits on a brick pier foundation and has a side-hall plan. It is on land once owned by John Lawson (explorer), John Lawson (1674? – 1711), explorer and founder of Bath. It is a contributing property in the NRHP-listed Bath Historic District (Bath, North Carolina), Bath Historic District, also known as Historic Bath, and is now an 1830s period historic house museum. Palmer-Marsh House
The Palmer-Marsh House is a historic house museum and National Historic Landmark on Main Street south of Carteret Street in Bath, North Carolina. Built in 1744, it is one of the oldest residences in North Carolina, and is a well-preserved example of a large colonial town house with a commercial space built in. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1970. and   It is now a North Carolina state historic site, and is open for tours.
