Batchimeg Tuvshintugs ( mn, Түвшинтөгсийн Батчимэг, ''Tüvshintögsiin Batchimeg''; born 3 May 1986) is a Mongolian chess player holding the titles of International Master (IM) and Woman Grandmaster (WGM). In 2016, Batchimeg was awarded the title State Honored Athlete of Mongolia. Career Batchimeg won the Mongolian Women's Chess Championship in 2011 and 2016. In team events, she has represented Mongolia in the Women's Chess Olympiad in 2002, 2012, 2014 and 2016, Women's Asian Team Chess Championship in 2012 and 2016, and 2010 Asian Games. She represented the United States from 2005 to 2009. In 2006, Batchimeg competed in the U.S. Chess Championship, held on March 2–11 in San Diego, California. Here she scored 3½ points in the first five rounds against grandmasters (Alexander Fishbein, Yury Shulman, Boris Kreiman, Boris Gulko and Julio Becerra). Boris Gulko
Boris Franzevich Gulko ( rus, Борис Францевич Гулько, p=bɐˈrʲis ɡʊlʲˈko; born February 9, 1947) is a Soviet-American Grandmaster in chess. Gulko is noted to be the only person to win both the Soviet Chess Championship and the U.S. Chess Championship, and for having a positive score against Garry Kasparov. Life and career Boris Gulko was born in 1947 to a Jewish family. His father was a soldier of the Red Army and was stationed in East Germany. His family returned to the Soviet Union after a few years. Gulko became an International Master in 1975, and a Grandmaster in 1976. He won the USSR Chess Championship at Leningrad in 1977 along with Iosif Dorfman. The Soviets usually would break ties for the title of Soviet Champion with a multi-game match, and 1977 was no exception. Anna Yuriyivna Ushenina (; born 30 August 1985) is a Ukrainian chess grandmaster who was Women's World Chess Champion from November 2012 to September 2013. Personal life Ushenina lives in Kharkiv, where she was born. She is of Jewish ethnicity. Determined that the young Ushenina should develop intellectual and creative talents, her mother introduced her to chess at the age of seven, along with painting and music. Zhao Xue (; born 6 April 1985) is a Chinese chess player. She is the 24th Chinese person to achieve the title of Grandmaster. Zhao was a member of the gold medal-winning Chinese team at the Women's Chess Olympiad in 2002, 2004 and 2016, and at the Women's World Team Chess Championship in 2007, 2009 and 2011. Harika Dronavalli (born 12 January 1991) is an Indian chess player who holds the FIDE title of Grandmaster (GM). She has won three bronze medals in the Women's World Chess Championship, in 2012, 2015 and 2017. Dronavalli was honored with the Arjuna Award for the year 2007–08 by the government of India.
