Agus Basuki Bin Suwito Hadiwiryono (5 March 1956 – 12 December 2007), or mononymously known as Basuki, was an Indonesian actor and comedian. He was born in Surakarta, Central Java. He was a member of the Indonesian comedy troupe, Srimulat. However, he became famous after appearing in the program, ''Si Doel Anak Sekolahan'' in 1996. He was also famous for creating a jingle called "Wes Ewes Ewes Bablas Angine" for a traditional medicine commercial. Basuki collapsed following a game of futsal on 12 December 2007. Basuki Abdullah
Fransiskus Xaverius Basuki Abdullah (born Muhammad Basuki Abdullah, January 25, 1915 – November 5, 1993) was an Indonesian painter and a convert to Roman Catholicism from Islam. His work is characterized as realism and has been exhibited in the Indonesian National Gallery. He received formal training in The Hague. During the Japanese occupation of Indonesia he was an art teacher. After the war he became known internationally, winning an art contest on the occasion of the accession in the Netherlands of Queen Juliana. His status in Indonesia provided an opportunity to paint the official portrait of President Suharto. Abdullah was beaten to death by three assailants during a break-in at his Jakarta home. Basuki Rahmat
Basuki Rahmat (4 November 1921 – 8 January 1969) was an Indonesian general, National Hero and a witness to the signing of the Supersemar document transferring power from President Sukarno to General Suharto. Early life Basuki Rahmat was born on 4 November 1921 in Tuban, East Java. His father, Raden Soedarsono Soenodihardjo, was assistant to a local district chief. His mother, Soeratni, died in January 1925 when Basuki was only four years old, ten days after giving birth to his brother. When he was seven, Basuki was sent to elementary school. In 1932 his father died, resulting in a temporary halt to Basuki's education. He was sent to live with his paternal aunt and finished his education, graduating from junior high school in 1939 and from the Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah school in 1942, just as the Japanese invasion of Indonesia started. Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (, Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: ''Chûng Van-ho̍k''; born 29 June 1966) is an Indonesian businessman, politician, and former governor of Jakarta. He is also known by his Hakka Chinese nickname Ahok (). He was the second minority governor of Jakarta with Chinese ancestry and also of the Evangelical faith, following Henk Ngantung, who was governor of Catholic faith from 1964–65. Ahok was a legislator in the Indonesian People's Representative Council (DPR) and Regent of East Belitung. Mochamad Basuki Hadimuljono (born 5 November 1954) is an Indonesian bureaucrat who currently serves as the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing under Joko Widodo. Before his appointment as minister, he had worked for the Indonesian Ministry of Public Works for nine years. Basuki was born in Surakarta, his father was a member of the Indonesian Army. After obtaining his bachelor's from Gadjah Mada University in 1979, he moved into the ministry of public works and began his career there. Later, he obtained his master's and doctorate from Colorado State University. He raised up the ranks and served as inspector-general and director-general there, until he accepted an appointment from Joko Widodo to serve as minister after over 30 years as a public servant on 2014.
