Basket Burgos 2002
Club Basket Burgos 2002, also known by sponsorship reasons as Grupo de Automoción Santiago, was a basketball team based in Burgos, Castile and Lion, Spain, who currently plays in Liga EBA. History Basket Burgos 2002 was founded in that year with the aim of playing in the Provincial League of Burgos, that works independently of the Spanish league system. On 2010, after being relegated CD Juventud del Círculo from Liga EBA to 1ª División, some players and the coach of the team decided to create a Primera División team of Basket Burgos 2002. On 2010-11 season, the team finished as runner-up of the Castile and Lion group, and promotes to Liga EBA after winning the final stage celebrated in Burgos. In their first season, Basket Burgos was relegated but remained in the league by achieving a vacant place. Liga Española de Baloncesto Aficionado (EBA), commonly known as Liga EBA, is a Spanish basketball championship that is the fourth tier level in the Spanish basketball league system, after the Liga ACB, LEB Oro, and LEB Plata. It is administered by the FEB. It was previously the Spanish second tier level competition from 1994 to 1996, the third tier level from 1996 to 2000, and the fifth tier level, from 2007 to 2009. The Liga EBA is made up of five inter-regional groups. After the regular season, sixteen teams advance to the playoffs, where only four teams are promoted to the LEB Plata. The lowest ranked teams of each group, are relegated to the Primera División. Polideportivo El Plantío
Polideportivo El Plantío is a multi-purpose sports arena in Burgos, Castile and León, Spain. It has a capacity of 2,432 seats but for CB Miraflores games it's expanded to 3,150 by adding chairs in all the corridors. It is owned by the Burgos City Hall.
