Basil Thampi
Basil Thampi (born 11 September 1993) is an Indian cricketer who represents Kerala in the domestic cricket. He is a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium pacer. He made his IPL debut for Gujarat Lions in the 2017 Indian Premier League and was named the "Emerging player of the season". Early and personal life Basil was born on 11 September 1993 to N.M Thampi and Lisy Thampi. He married Sneha Roy on 4 July 2022. Domestic career Thampi made his first-class debut for Kerala in the 2014–15 Ranji Trophy on 6 February 2015. Ernakulam District

The India A cricket team is a national cricket team representing India. It is the second-tier of Indian international cricket, below the full India national cricket team. The team is currently captained by Priyank Panchal in first-class cricket and Sanju Samson in List A cricket. The team is coached by former Saurashtra player Shitanshu Kotak. 2019–20 Duleep Trophy
The 2019–20 Duleep Trophy was the 58th season of the Duleep Trophy, a first-class cricket tournament in India. It took place in August and September 2019, starting the 2019–20 domestic cricket season in India. India Blue were the defending champions. Unlike the previous three seasons, the tournament was played as day games, played with a red ball. The final was initially announced as a day/night match with the pink ball. However, the final was changed and was played as a day game. The change was attributed due to players' preference. 2018 Kerala Floods
On 16 August 2018, severe floods affected the south Indian state Kerala, due to unusually high rainfall during the monsoon season. It was the worst flood in Kerala in nearly a century. Over 483 people died, and 15 are missing. About a million people were evacuated, mainly from Chengannur, Pandanad, Edanad, Aranmula, Kozhencherry, Ayiroor, Ranni, Pandalam, Kuttanad, Malappuram, Aluva, Chalakudy, Thrissur, Thiruvalla, Eraviperoor, Vallamkulam, North Paravur, Chellanam, Vypin Island and Palakkad. 2018–19 Duleep Trophy
The 2018–19 Duleep Trophy was the 57th season of the Duleep Trophy, a first-class cricket tournament in India, which took place in August and September 2018. India Red were the defending champions. All of the matches took place at the NPR College Ground in Dindigul. The BCCI's technical committee structured the tournament to have four teams from four Ranji Trophy Groups, similar to the 2002–03 Duleep Trophy, but on the day of team selections, the format of the previous season was retained.
