Osagi Bascome
Osagi Bascome (17 April 1998 – 18 December 2021) was a Bermudian footballer who played as a forward. Bascome spent his youth with several English and Spanish clubs, while as a senior he represented Massanassa in Spain, Darlington in England's National League North and St. George's Colts in the Bermudian Premier Division. He played 19 games for Bermuda between 2016 and 2020, scoring once, and assisted two goals at the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup. He died after being stabbed, in December 2021, at the age of 23. Career Bascome spent time in the academies of Aston Villa and Stoke City in England and of Valencia and Levante in Spain. After an extended trial period, Bristol City signed Bascome in February 2017 for the remainder of the season. On 26 March 2019, after a spell at Spanish club Massanassa, Bascome joined National League North side Darlington on a deal until the end of the season. David Bascome
David Bascome MBE (born January 29, 1970) is a retired association football forward who is currently the head coach of the Baltimore Blast in the Major Arena Soccer League. Club career David Bascome started his First Division soccer career at the age of 16 with North Village Rams in Bermuda. At 20 years of age, he signed his first professional contract with the Harrisburg Heat of the National Professional Soccer League, USA. After 12 seasons of professional indoor soccer, Bascome won his first Championship during his 2003–2004 campaign with the Baltimore Blast, then won 7 more 3 as a player and 4 as an assistant coach. After retiring, he was named to the assistant coaching position of the Blast on October 12, 2006, and helped lead the team to the 2008 MISL Championship in his second season on the coaching staff. Football Club Bascome Bermuda is an Bermudian football club based in Bermuda, that is set to play in the American USL League Two. The club was established 2005 and was scheduled to begin their first USL League Two season in 2020, before it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The club did not take part to the 2021 and 2022 seasons neither, due to ongoing travel restrictions between Bermuda and the USA. History On 22 January 2020, it was announced by USL League Two, the American semi-professional soccer league, that Bascome Bermuda would be joining the competition for the 2020 season. The club was entered into USL League Two with the idea of providing a platform for young Bermudian footballers to eventually make it professionally. Nelson Blake Ainsworth Bascome, Jr. (14 September 1955 – 14 July 2009) was a former Minister of Health in Bermuda, Biography Bascome was first elected to the Bermuda House of Assembly in 1989 for the constituency of Pembroke East.
