Bartolomé Castagnola
Bartolomé Castagnola (born June 16, 1970, in Lomas de Zamora, Buenos Aires Province) is an Argentine polo player with a 10-goal polo handicap and ranked among the top twenty players. He is often referred to as Lolo. Biography Career Bartolomé Castagnola started playing polo seriously, when he was 14 and his father took him to the La Martina Polo School, where he got to know Adolfo Cambiaso. In 1988, he started playing polo abroad, when he went to San Diego with Marcelo Caset and won the San Diego Open. Since then, he won the Sotogrande Gold Cup, the US Open, the USPA Gold Cup, the Queen's Cup and the Hurlingham Open among other. He participated 14 times in the Campeonato Argentino Abierto de Polo (Argentine Open), won six times and took part in the final another three times. Castagnola played for La Martina, Ellerstina, Outback and Dubai and played in Argentina, Spain, Dubai, United Kingdom and Australia. Buenos Aires Province

Polo
Polo is a ball game played on horseback, a traditional field sport and one of the world's oldest known team sports. A polo handicap is a system created by Henry Lloyd Herbert, the first president of the United States Polo Association, at the founding of the USPA in 1890 so teams could be more evenly matched when using players with varying abilities. The Campeonato Argentino Abierto de Polo (Spanish for Argentine Open Polo Championship) is an international polo championship at club level, organised every year since 1893 at the Campo Argentino de Polo of Palermo, Buenos Aires. It was known as the "River Plate Polo Championship" between 1893-1923, and as well as the other two main polo events in Argentina (the Campeonato Abierto de Hurlingham at the Hurlingham Club and the Campeonato Abierto del Tortugas Country Club), the handicap of the teams must be between 28 and 40 goals. The Dubai Polo Team is one of the most successful polo teams of all time, playing at the highest level globally. The Dubai Polo Team has bases in UK, Spain, USA, Argentina and Dubai. The Dubai Polo Team have won the British Open for the Gold Cup and the Cartier Queens Cup many times. La Dolfina (currently named La Dolfina Sancor Seguros due to sponsorship reasons) is an Argentine polo team, founded by Adolfo Cambiaso and Bartolomé Castagnola in 2000, based in the city of Cañuelas, Buenos Aires Province. La Dolfina won the most important polo tournament in Argentina, the Abierto Argentino (Argentine Open) nine times: 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2015, becoming one of the most successful teams since its establishment in 2000.
