Bartley MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Stage 3 of the Circle line, located on the boundary of Serangoon and Toa Payoh planning areas, Singapore. Situated along Bartley Road near How Sun Estate, Maris Stella High School and Ramakrishna Mission Singapore, this station serves the residential estate along Serangoon Avenue 1 and the upcoming Bidadari estate. History Bartley MRT Station was named after William Bartley, who was Acting Collector-General of Income Tax in the 1920s and President of the Municipal Commission of Singapore between 1931 and 1946. The Outer Ring Road System, or more commonly known as ORRS, is a network of major arterial roads in Singapore that forms a ring road through the towns along the city fringe. The ORRS is a semi-expressway, just like the West Coast Highway. Since 1994, roads along the ORRS have been upgraded in stages to provide a smoother route to travel across the island. Lorong Chuan MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Circle line in Serangoon, Singapore. Bishan MRT Station
Bishan MRT station is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the North South (NSL) and Circle (CCL) lines in Bishan, Singapore. Located along Bishan Road within the town centre area, it is integrated with the Junction 8 shopping centre and close to the Bishan Bus Interchange. Nearby schools include Raffles Institution, Catholic High School and the Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Primary and Secondary Schools. Initially announced as Kampung San Teng, it was renamed San Teng and subsequently Bishan. Opened on 7 November 1987, Bishan NSL station was one of the first five stations on the MRT network. MacPherson is a neighbourhood located within the district of Geylang in the Central Region of Singapore. Its location roughly corresponds to the identically titled subzone in the Geylang Planning Area and is approximately sandwiched between the neighbourhoods of Aljunied and Paya Lebar. MacPherson largely consists of various public housing estates centered on Circuit Road and an industrial area.
