Daniela Bártová-Břečková () (born 6 May 1974) is a retired Czech athlete. She was born in Ostrava. Originally a gymnast, her coach persuaded her to be a pole vaulter. She set nine world records in the mid-1990s, but she lost it on 4 November 1995 to Sun Caiyun and was unable to recapture it. Her personal best is 4.51 m ( Bratislava, Slovakia, 9 June 1998). Despite her success she only won one international medal, a silver medal at the 1998 European Indoor Championships. Vít Bárta (born 5 December 1973) is a Czech politician and businessman who served as Minister of Transport from 2010 to 2011 and as Member of the Chamber of Deputies (MP) from 2010 to 2013. Šimon Bárta (27 October 1864, Žimutice – 2 May 1940, České Budějovice) was a Czech Roman Catholic bishop. Life Bárta was ordained priest on 16 March 1889 in Rome. Sándor Barta (7 October 1897, Budapest – 3 June, 1938) was a Hungarian poet active in various avant-garde movements. After emigrating to the Soviet Union, he remained active amongst German-speaking cultural groups. He was an active agent in carrying out the Stalinist purges amongst the literary intelligentsia, but was himself arrested by the Soviet authorities and shot in 1938. Early life His schooling stopped at secondary school and he went to work in his father's workshop. However he suffered from tuberculosis as a teenager.
