Bart Alexander Thompson is the creator of the comic book company Approbation Comics, and is the creator, writer, and artist of titles such as ''Vampires Unlimited'', the ''Metamutoids'', ''ChiSai'', ''The Lazarus Factor'', ''Chaos Campus'', and ''Weapons of Mass Destruction''. Thompson is the scripter for the first volume of the comic book ''Lethal Instinct'' for Alias Enterprises Alias Enterprises is an American publishing company. Free Comic Book Day
Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) is an annual promotional effort by the North American comic book industry to attract new readers to independent comic book stores. It usually takes place on the first Saturday of May and is often cross-promoted with the release of a superhero film. Over two thousand participating stores give away millions of comic books annually. The event was proposed by Joe Field in the August 2001 issue of '' Comics & Games Retailer'' magazine and Free Comic Book Day was launched in 2002, coordinated by the industry's single large distributor, Diamond Comic Distributors. FCBD has become an official Children's Book Week event and has inspired similar events for German- and Dutch-language comics industries. The twentieth edition of FCBD was held on May 7, 2022. Alias Enterprises is an American publishing company. Their main divisions are Alias Comics (all-ages comic books) and Cross Culture (Christian comic books). Based in San Diego, California, it was founded in January 2005 by Brett Burner and Mike S. Miller. They publish comics such as ''Lullaby (comics), Lullaby'', ''Tenth Muse, The 10th Muse'', ''Isis (Bluewater Comics), The Legend of Isis'', and ''Sixgun Samurai''. Arcana Studio is a Canadian animation studio in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Founded as a comic book publisher by former Coquitlam, British Columbia school teacher Sean O'Reilly in 2004, in 2012 Arcana opened its animation division. Overview Arcana is Canada's largest publisher of comics and graphic novels, with over 300 titles in its library covering all genres and age groups. Arcana's titles have been translated into different languages, including French, Italian, Greek, Spanish and Polish. Arcana formed in 2004 when Sean O'Reilly first published and wrote the comic book series ''Kade'' starting with Kade #1. Sean wrote the issue, with artist Eduardo Garcia drawing and coloring the series. With Diamond Comics as the distributor, Arcana's first comic went on shelves December 31, 2003.
