Bart's In Jail!
"Bart's in Jail!" is the second episode of the thirty-third season of the American animated television series ''The Simpsons'', and the 708th episode overall. It aired in the United States on Fox on October 3, 2021. The episode was directed by Steven Dean Moore, and written by Nick Dahan. The episode is about Grampa Simpson falling for a phone scam and received generally mixed reviews. Plot Grampa receives an urgent phone call telling him that Bart is in jail and that he needs to get $10,000 to the "authorities" or Bart will face a massive prison sentence. Because Grampa not-unreasonably finds the notion of Bart being in jail to be plausible and also because he wants to help his grandson, he does wire the money, only to realize that he was the victim of a scam. Everyone except Homer feels bad for Grampa and consoles him with their own stories of being scammed. Steven Dean Moore
Steven Dean Moore is an American animation director. His credits include 65 episodes of the animated television series ''The Simpsons'' and several episodes of the Nickelodeon series ''Rugrats'' (1991–2004). Moore was also one of four sequence directors on ''The Simpsons Movie'' (2007). He was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2002. Moore's earliest credit is one of the principal animators on Filmation's last major production, ''BraveStarr''.
