Barry Daines
Barry Raymond Daines (born 30 September 1951) is a former professional footballer. He played in the Football League for Tottenham Hotspur, Mansfield Town and for Bulova SA in Hong Kong. Daines also represented England at youth level in the position of goalkeeper. Football career Daines joined Tottenham Hotspur as an apprentice in September 1969. He made a total of 146 appearances between 1971 and 1981. Daines was substitute in both legs of the 1972 UEFA Cup Final. Throughout much of his time at Tottenham he was understudy to Pat Jennings, he did however play in all 42 league matches in the 1977–78 season. In 1981 Tottenham awarded Daines a testimonial. The game played in May 1981, resulted in Tottenham beating West Ham United 3–2 at White Hart Lane. He played in the Hong Kong First Division between 1981 and 1983 for Bulova SA before ending his professional career at Mansfield Town and making a further 21 appearances. Witham
Witham () is a town in the county of Essex in the East of England, with a population ( 2011 census) of 25,353. It is part of the District of Braintree and is twinned with the town of Waldbröl, Germany. Witham stands between the city of Chelmsford (8 miles to the south-west) and the City of Colchester (13 miles to the north-east), on the Roman road between the two. Hong Kong First Division League
The Hong Kong First Division League () is the second-highest division in the Hong Kong football league system. Established in 1908, it is the third oldest in Asia. The league was formerly the highest division in Hong Kong until the formation of the Hong Kong Premier League in 2014. Since 1908, a total of 29 clubs have been crowned champions of the Hong Kong football system. South China are the most successful club, having won 41 times since their first participation in 1941. Competition format Each team plays the other teams in the division twice, one home and one away game. The ticket profits go to the home team.
