Barry Clark (Eastenders)
Barry Clark is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera, ''EastEnders'', played by Gary Hailes from 18 November 1986 to July 1988, returning for one episode on 23 February 1989. Hailes reprised the role in December 2022 for the funeral of Dot Cotton (June Brown). Barry's absence of 33 years from EastEnders is currently the longest absence between appearances of any character in the show's history. Barry is a cockney barrow-boy, and an unlikely partner for the gay, middle classed yuppie, Colin Russell (Michael Cashman). Walford
Walford is a fictional borough of east London in the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders''. It is the primary setting for the soap. ''EastEnders'' is filmed at Borehamwood in Hertfordshire, towards the north-west of London. Much of the location work is filmed in nearby Watford, which was chosen for many of the exterior scenes due to its close proximity and the town's name being so similar to Walford. Thus, any stray road signs or advertising boards which are accidentally filmed in the back of shots will appear to read Walford. Locations used in Watford include most interior and exterior church scenes of various churches, the snooker club, the County Court and Magistrates' Courts courtrooms, and the cemetery (where most of the deceased characters are interred). Gary McDonald (born 1961, London) is an English actor of Jamaican descent. A student at Elliott school in Putney, McDonald played football for Wimbledon FC under Dario Gradi. He was a member of the Royal Court Theatre from 1979 to 1980, appearing in various plays at the Court such as ''Hard time Pressure'', ''Hero's Welcome'', and Che Walker's ''Been so Long''. Gary John Webster (born 3 February 1964 in Whitechapel, east London) is an English actor. Webster's first major TV role was in '' EastEnders'' playing Graham Clark from 1987 until 1988. He later became better known for playing Ray Daley in the television series ''Minder'', replacing Dennis Waterman as George Cole's on-screen sparring partner in the series. John Clarkson Stewart (born 2 March 1952), known as John Altman, is an English actor and singer, perhaps best known for playing Nick Cotton in the popular BBC soap opera ''EastEnders''.
