Barron H. Lerner
Barron H. Lerner (born 27 September 1960) is an American member of the faculty at the New York University Langone School of Medicine. He received his M.D. from Columbia in 1986 and his Ph.D. in history from the University of Washington in 1996. In addition to his research, Lerner practices internal medicine and teaches medical ethics and the history of medicine. Early life and education Lerner was born on September 27, 1960 in Boston, Massachusetts, to infectious disease doctor Phillip I. Lerner and teacher Ronnie Lerner (née Hober) in Boston, Massachusetts and was raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Hawken School in 1978, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1982, and from Columbia University's medical school in 1986.
