Barretos–Chafei Amsei State Airport is the airport serving Barretos, Brazil. It is operated by ASP. History On 11 July 2013 DAESP, transferred the administration of the airport to the Municipality of Barretos. However on 16 May 2019, the facility was transferred back to DAESP. In 2013 a partnership was created between the airport administration anBarretos Cancer Hospital the biggest in Latin America. This partnership is visible on a campaign requesting Brazilian airlines scheduled flights to Barretos, and it is centralized on the websitVoo contra o câncer On July 15, 2021, the concession of the airport was auctioned to the Consorcium Aeroportos Paulista (ASP), comprised by companies Socicam and Dix. DAESP - Departamento Aeroviário do Estado de São Paulo ( en, Airways Department of São Paulo State) was the São Paulo state (in Brazil) aviation department. DAESP was part of the ''Secretaria de Transportes do Governo do Estado de São Paulo'' ( en, Transportation Secretariat of the State of São Paulo), and was responsible for the management of 21 public airports within the state, in accordance to directives from the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC). It was created in 1963 as ''Diretoria de Aeroportos'' ( en, Directorate of Airports) of the ''Secretaria de Viação e Obras Públicas'' ( en, Public Works and Transit Secretariat). Barretos
Barretos is a municipality in the northern part of the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The city has approximately 122,833 inhabitants (IBGE/2020) and an area of 1566.1 km². Barretos belongs to the Mesoregion of Ribeirão Preto. History The city was founded on August 25, 1854. The first chapel was built in 1856, where today lies the "Praça Francisco Barreto". On January 8, 1897, Barretos was officially established as a municipality. Economy The tertiary sector of the city is the most relevant, with 72.09% of the city GDP. DAFIF () or the ''Digital Aeronautical Flight Information File'' is a comprehensive database of up-to-date aeronautical data, including information on airports, airways, airspaces, navigation data, and other facts relevant to flying in the entire world, managed by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) of the United States. Withdrawal of public access DAFIF was publicly available until October 2006 through the Internet; however, it was closed to public access because "increased numbers of foreign source providers are claiming intellectual property rights or are forewarning NGA that they intend to copyright their source". Currently, only federal and state government agencies, authorized government contractors, and Department of Defense customers are able to access the DAFIF data.
