Barney Ernest Willford McCall Military Cross, MC (13 May 1913 – 31 March 1991) was an English-born Welsh people, Welsh cricketer, rugby union, rugby player and British Army officer. He was born at Clifton, Bristol, Clifton, Bristol, and died at hospital in Cardiff, Glamorgan. Cricket career McCall's cricketing skills first became apparent while attending Weymouth College (public school), Weymouth College from 1928 to 1931, with ''Wisden Cricketers' Almanack, Wisden'' later describing him as one of the best cricketers the college produced between the world wars. His final year of attending the college saw McCall make a single appearance for Dorset County Cricket Club, Dorset in the 1931 Minor Counties Championship against Wiltshire County Cricket Club, Wiltshire. Clifton is both a suburb of Bristol, England, and the name of one of the city's thirty-five council wards. The Clifton ward also includes the areas of Cliftonwood and Hotwells.
