Barcelona Metro Line 10
Line 10 (Polígon Pratenc – Gorg) is the name of one of the two branches of the Barcelona metro line 9, currently (2020) under construction and to be operated by TMB. Like Line 9 and Line 11, it will be an automatic train operation (i.e. driverless vehicle) metro line. Overview The line will link the Zona Franca with Badalona, through Barcelona proper, sharing most of the area covered by L9. L9/10 will be the deepest and longest line in the network. Originally expected to be ready by 2008, ongoing problems with its construction are going to delay its completion until as late as 2025. The line is currently operated in two sections, North and South, similarly to line 9. Trambaix Route 2
The Trambaix () is one of Barcelona's three tram systems. It is operated by TRAMMET connecting the Baix Llobregat area with the city of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It opened to the public on 5 April 2004 after a weekend when the tram could be used free of charge. The Trambaix includes three different routes (T1, T2 and T3). The tram route starts at Plaça Francesc Macià in Barcelona to the west of the city and extends west, passing L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat, Cornellà de Llobregat, Sant Joan Despí and Sant Just Desvern. An extension of Tram T3 opened on 8 December 2006, as far as Consell Comarcal in Sant Feliu de Llobregat. The yearly ridership of all of its lines combined is of 15,057,318 passengers as of 2008. The Trambaix complements the Trambesòs that runs to the north-east of the city. Both networks will be interconnected through Avinguda Diagonal in the next construction phase. Barcelona Metro Line 1
Line 1, shortened to L1, coloured red and often simply called ''Línia vermella'' ("Red Line"), is the second oldest Barcelona Metro line, after line L3. It is the longest line of the Barcelona Metro, and links L'Hospitalet de Llobregat and Santa Coloma de Gramenet. Originally operated by the independent Ferrocarril Metropolitano Transversal de Barcelona, it is today operated by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) and is part of the ATM fare-integrated main transport system. L1 is the only metro line in Spain to use Iberian gauge tracks, as used by most Spanish main line railways. Torrassa (Barcelona Metro)
Torrassa is a Barcelona Metro station, in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat municipality of the Barcelona metropolitan area, and named after the nearby La Torrassa neighbourhood. The station is served by line L1, line L9 and line L10. The station is located underneath the ''Avinguda Catalunya'', between the ''carrer d'Almeria'' and ''carrer de Rosalía de Castro''. There are two entrances, from ''Avinguda Torrent Gornal'' and ''Carrer d'Almeria'', which serve a below ground ticket hall. The two long side platforms are at a lower level. The station was opened in 1983, at the time of the extension of line L1 from Santa Eulàlia station. It remained the terminus of the line until 1987, when line L1 was further extended to Avinguda Carrilet station.
