A barbican (from fro, barbacane) is a fortified outpost or fortified gateway, such as at an outer defense perimeter of a city or castle, or any tower situated over a gate or bridge which was used for defensive purposes. Europe In the Middle Ages, barbicans were typically situated outside the main line of defenses, and were connected to the city walls with a walled road called ''the neck''. In the 15th century, with the improvement in siege tactics and artillery, barbicans lost their significance. Barbicans were built well into the 16th century. KSAFA Super League
The KSAFA Championship League also known for sponsorship purposes as the 'Campari/KSAFA Championship League'' , is a men's third division football league, it’s sanctioned by the Jamaican Football Federation. The league is contested between 12 clubs that are based in the parishes of St. Andrew and Kingston, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation where as at the end of each season the two lowest placed teams are relegated to KSAFA Major League. while the winners qualify for the National Premier League Playoff along with the winners of the South Central Confederation Super League, Eastern Confederation Super League and Western Confederation Super League. Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. Kingston, Jamaica
Kingston is the capital and largest city of Jamaica, located on the southeastern coast of the island. Football In Jamaica
Football is one of the most popular sports in Jamaica. It introduced to the country by the British colonialists by the end of the 19th century and quickly took hold. Early History In 1893, the Kingston Cricket Club, which was founded in 1863 by the elite of the colonial society, founded the first football team. Two years later, nationwide newspapers report about women's football for the first time. Between 1925 and 1932, a Jamaican men's national team was formed and played a number of friendlies, mostly against neighbors Haiti. These matches were usually played at Sabina Park, the main cricket ground of the island. In the following years, female football clubs started to form in Kingston, playing a first match in the same stadium in November 1935 to raise funds for charities.
