Barbara Lerner Spectre
Barbara Lerner Spectre (born 1942) is an academic and philosophy lecturer, who is the founding director of Paideia, the European Institute for Jewish Studies in Sweden, a non-denominational academic institute established in 2001. Biography Barbara Spectre was born in Madison, Wisconsin. She studied philosophy and received a Bachelor of Arts degree at Columbia University and a Master of Arts degree at NYU, attaining a PhD in philosophy at Bar-Ilan University. She married Rabbi Philip Spectre, and the couple moved in 1967 to Ashkelon, Israel, where she served on the faculty of Jewish Studies at Achva College of Education. After moving to Jerusalem in 1982, she served on the philosophy faculty of the Shalom Hartman Institute of Jerusalem, the Melton Center of the Hebrew University, and Yellin College of Education, where she was cited as Outstanding Lecturer 1995–1997. David Yellin College Of Education
David Yellin College of Education is an academic teachers' college in Jerusalem, Israel established in 1913. The college is one of the first teachers' colleges in Mandatory Palestine that taught in Hebrew language, Hebrew. Known as "Seminar Beit Hakerem" it was situated on a hilltop facing the Jerusalem neighbourhood of Beit HaKerem, Jerusalem, Beit Hakerem. The college is located on Ma'agal Beit Hamidrash (lit. H. M. ( His Majesty) The King's Medal ( sv, H.M. Konungens medalj), earlier known as the Court Medal ( sv, Hovmedaljen), is a Swedish honour that may be bestowed upon Swedish and foreign citizens. The medal was created in 1814 and is awarded in different sizes in gold and silver with chain or ribbon. This medal is not awarded in classes but in sizes. The Great Synagogue of Stockholm ( sv, Stockholms stora synagoga, he, בית הכנסת הגדול של שטוקהולם ''Bet ha-Knesset ha-Gadol shel Stokholm'') is located on a small street called Wahrendorffsgatan, close to the park Kungsträdgården on Norrmalm, Stockholm.
