Barbara Ann Brown (October 18, 1901 – July 7, 1975) was an American actress. Early life Barbara Brown was born in 1901 in Los Angeles, California, to Selma C. (née Teutschmann) and Edward Brown. Her mother was the daughter of German immigrants. Career Brown began acting on the stage in California. In 1922, she had leading roles in Oliver Morosco's productions ''Wait Till We're Married'' and ''Abie's Irish Rose''. She went on to act in Broadway plays such as ''Relations'' (1928), ''Mother Lode'' (1934), ''Play, Genius, Play!'' (1935), ''Behind Red Lights'' (1937), ''Sun Kissed'' (1937), ''Our Town'' (1938), and ''Liberty Jones'' (1941). Brown began appearing in films in the early 1940s. She played Mrs. Delfina Acuña, the mother of Rita Hayworth's character, in ''You Were Never Lovelier'' (1942), starring Fred Astaire and Hayworth. Ray Bidwell Collins (December 10, 1889 – July 11, 1965) was an American character actor in stock and Broadway theatre, radio, films, and television. With 900 stage roles to his credit, he became one of the most successful actors in the developing field of radio drama. A friend and associate of Orson Welles for many years, Collins went to Hollywood with the Mercury Theatre company and made his feature-film debut in '' Citizen Kane'' (1941), as Kane's ruthless political rival. Collins appeared in more than 75 films and had one of his best-remembered roles on television, as Los Angeles homicide detective Lieutenant Arthur Tragg in the CBS-TV series ''Perry Mason''. Edwin Forrest Taylor (December 29, 1883 – February 19, 1965) was an American character actor whose artistic career spanned six different decades, from silents through talkies to the advent of color films. Early years Taylor was born in Bloomington, Illinois. His father managed the Dreamland Theatre in Kewanee, Illinois, and a news item in 1916 reported, "Manager Chris Taylor of Dreamland at Kewanee features his son, E. Forrest Taylor, in Western pictures every Monday." Career Stage Taylor was a veteran of the stage by the time he started appearing as a silent lead in both short and feature-length films. His talents extended beyond acting to include management.
