Berakhah
In Judaism, a ''berakhah'', ''bracha'', ', ' ( he, בְּרָכָה; pl. , ''berakhot'', '; "benediction," "blessing") is a formula of blessing or thanksgiving, recited in public or private, usually before the performance of a commandment, or the enjoyment of food or fragrance, and in praise on various occasions. The function of a ''berakhah'' is to acknowledge God as the source of all blessing. Berakhot also have an educational function to transform a variety of everyday actions and occurrences into religious experiences designed to increase awareness of God at all times. For this purpose, the Talmudic sage, Rabbi Meir, declared that it was the duty of every Jew to recite one hundred ''berakhot'' every day. The Mishnah of tractate Berakhot, and the gemara in both Talmuds contain detailed rabbinical discussions of ''berakhot'', upon which the laws and practice of reciting blessings are founded. Al-Said Barakah
Al-Said Barakah (1260–1280; original name: Muhammed Barakah Qan ( ar, محمد بركة قان), royal name: al-Malik al-Said Nasir al-Din Barakah () was a Mamluk Sultan who ruled from 1277 to 1279 after the death of his father Baibars. His mother was a daughter of Barka Khan, aformer Khwarazmian emir. Barakah was born in Cairo. His succession went smoothly, and al-Said set about limiting the power of the emirs from his father's administration. One, his father's viceroy, died under suspicious circumstances. Others were jailed and then released. In their place, al-Said promoted his own mamluks. He also sent Qalawun and Baysari, two of the most powerful emirs, to raid Cilician Armenia and Qal'at al-Rum in 1279, as a way of keeping them busy and away from the seat of power. The Barakah nuclear power plant ( ar, محطة براكة للطاقة النووية) is the United Arab Emirates' first nuclear power station, the first nuclear power station in the Arabian Peninsula, the second in the Persian Gulf region and the first commercial nuclear power station in the Arab World. Baraka bint Thaʿlaba ( ar, بَـرَكَـة بنت ثَعلَبَة), commonly known by her kunya Umm Ayman ( ar, أمّ أيمن, links=no), was an early Muslim and companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. She was an Abyssinian slave of Muhammad's parents, Abdullah ibn Abdul-Muttalib and Aminah bint Wahb.
