Banting Memorial Municipal Park
Banting is a town and the seat of Kuala Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. Banting has a population of 93,497. The postal code for Banting is 42700 and is administered by the Zone of 15 and 19 of the Kuala Langat Municipal Council. It is situated on the banks of Langat River (Sungai Langat in Malay). It is a Rest Town or ''Bandar Persinggahan'' of Federal route . The historical Jugra, a former royal town of Selangor is situated near Banting. Banting is located near the beaches of Morib, as well as hills, forest and farms. Banting is an agricultural hub. Its main agricultural resources include oil palm plantations, poultry farms, betel leaves and it has a number of industrial areas. Sekolah Agama Menengah Tinggi Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (SAMTTAR) known in English as Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Religious High School was established in Malaysia in January 1943. Its original site was a donated (wakaf) land next to the current Masjid Kampung Sungai Manggis. The school original building is still standing. As of 2017, the school had 1049 students and 84 teaching staff. History The school was built in 1943 by Allahyarham Tuan Haji Ibrahim b Mohd Akim, the Village Head of Kampung Sungai Manggis. Rahman Sidek (born 14 September 1966) is a former badminton player from Malaysia and coach. Personal life He is the 4th child of the 5 legendary Sidek brothers who represented Malaysia in the sport of badminton internationally. Morib
Morib is a mukim in Kuala Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia, under the administration of Zone 18 of Kuala Langat Municipal Council. Morib Beach is a quiet seaside tourist attraction. It was one of the first landing points on the west coast for the British and Indian Army liberation forces during end of World War II in 1945. It is a small but suitable beach for swimming.
