Haranath (actor)
Buddharaju Venkata Appala Haranath Raju (2 September 1936 – 1 November 1989), known mononymously as Haranath, was an Indian actor who worked in Telugu films. Early life career and death Haranath was born on 2 September 1936 in Raparthi near Pithapuram and Gollaprolu in East Godavari district. He had two younger brothers and a sister. His early schooling was in Madras till pre-university, and he did his B. A. degree in P R College, Kakinada. He was very active in cultural activities, particularly dramas, won many a drama competition. An encounter leads him into films. He was waiting at Vanimahal bus stop in Madras, on the way to pilot training when he was spotted by Mukkmamala Krishna Murthy, famous film actor, director and producer and was selected to act as a lead actor in the film Rushyasrunga. Jamuna (actress)
Jamuna (born 30 August 1936) is an Indian actress, director and politician who appeared mainly in Telugu films. She made her acting debut at the age of 16 in Dr. Garikapati Rajarao's ''Puttillu'' (1953), and received her breakthrough with L. V. Prasad ''Missamma'' (1955). Her filmography also includes Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi films. She won a Filmfare Award and an award at Filmfare Awards South. She was a Member of Parliament in the 9th Lok Sabha (1989–1991) representing the Rajahmundry constituency. Early life Jamuna was born in Hampi of present-day Karnataka to Nippani Srinivasa Rao and Kowsalya Devi. Jamuna was named Jana Bai. Her father is a Madhva Brahmin, while her mother is a Vaisya and they had an inter-caste love marriage. Gummadi Venkateswara Rao (9 July 1927 – 26 January 2010), known Mononym, mononymously by his surname Gummadi, was an Indian actor and producer, who worked predominantly in Telugu cinema and a few Tamil films. Known as one of the finest method acting, method actors, Gummadi starred in around five hundred feature films. He received critical recognition for his work in ''Thodu Dongalu (1954 film), Thodu Dongalu'' (1954) and ''Mahamantri Timmarusu (film), Mahamantri Timmarusu'' (1962), for which he has received the erstwhile Rashtrapati Award.
