Bandırma () is a city in northwestern Turkey with 161,894 inhabitants as of 2021 on the Sea of Marmara. Bandırma is a district of Balıkesir Province. Balıkesir () is a city in Turkey and is the capital city of Balıkesir Province. Balıkesir is located in the Marmara region of Turkey and has a population of 338,936. İDO Istanbul Fast Ferries Co. Inc. ( tr, İstanbul Deniz Otobüsleri, meaning ''Istanbul Sea Buses'') was founded in 1987 by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Bandırma railway station is the main railway station in Bandırma, Turkey. It is located within the Port of Bandırma, adjacent to the Bandırma Ferry Terminal. It is the northern terminus of the 6th of September Express and the 17th of September Express, which operate daily to İzmir.
