Banasthali Vidyapith (Banasthali University) is a university located in the Tonk district of the Rajasthan state in India. It is a deemed university offering programs at the secondary, senior secondary, undergraduate, and postgraduate degree levels. History Banasthali Vidyapith was founded on 6 October 1935 by freedom fighters and educationists Hiralal Shastri and Ratan Shastri. The institution was declared as a 'Deemed University' in 1983. While NAAC has re-accredited Banasthali Vidyapith at the highest possible ‘Grade A’ level in 2011, the Review Committee (Tandon Committee) of Ministry of HRD also appreciated the overall efforts of Vidyapith in the areas of Institutional Governance, Academic Achievements, Research, Student Progression, Infrastructure etc. and categorized Banasthali Vidyapith under ‘Category A’ list of ‘Institutions Deemed to be University’ in 2010. Avani Chaturvedi
Squadron Leader Avani Chaturvedi (born 27 October 1993) is an Indian pilot from Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh. She was declared as the first woman combat pilot along with two of her cohorts, Mohana Singh Jitarwal, and Bhawana Kanth. The trio was inducted into the Indian Air Force fighter squadron in June 2016. They were formally commissioned by then Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on 18 June 2016, to serve the nation. Atiqa Bano
Atiqa Bano (Behan Ji) (1940 – 4 October 2017) was an Indian educationist and activist for the artistic and cultural heritage of Kashmir. She established and curated the '' Meeras Mahal'', a private museum of history and art at Highland Colony, Sopore in Baramulla Kashmir. Biography Atiqa Bano was born in 1940 in Sopore in the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir. Her father, Molvi Mohammad Yasin Masoodi, was a freedom fighter. He died when she was a few months old, and she was brought up by her mother. Bano obtained an undergraduate degree from the Women's College, Srinagar, followed by two master's degrees in economics and in Urdu. She then attended Banasthali Vidyapeeth in Rajasthan for a postgraduate degree in education. Atiqa Bano died of cancer on 4 October 2017 in Sopore, aged 77. Yashoda Devi
Yashoda Devi (1927–2004) was the first woman to be elected from a former princely state of India as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (India), member of a legislative assembly. She was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan from the Banswara constituency in 1953 as a candidate of the Socialist Party (India), Socialist Party. Meira Kumar (born 31 March 1945) is an Indian politician and former diplomat.
