Balot, Côte-d'Or
Balot () is a Communes of France, commune in the Côte-d'Or Departments of France, department in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in eastern France. Geography Balot is located some 10 Kilometre, km south-west of Châtillon-sur-Seine and 25 Kilometre, km north-east of Montbard. Access to the commune is by the D21 road from Laignes in the north-west which passes through the southern part of the commune and the village and continues south-east to Coulmier-le-Sec. The D118 goes north from the village to join the D965 south-east of Marcenay. The D118J goes north-east from the village to Cérilly, Côte-d'Or, Cérilly. There is some forest in the north-east of the commune but it is mostly farmland. Jaime Llave (March 22, 1926 – November 27, 1996) better known by his screen name Balot, was a Filipino comedian, film, television and stage actor in the Philippines. Balut ( , ; also spelled as balot) is a fertilized developing egg embryo that is boiled or steamed and eaten from the shell. It is commonly sold as street food in South China and Southeast Asian countries, notably the Philippines, Cambodia ( km, ពងទាកូន, ) and Vietnam ( vi, trứng vịt lộn). The term comes from the Filipino language. The length of incubation before the egg is cooked is a matter of local preference, but generally ranges between 14 and 21 days. Description A balut is a fertilized bird egg (usually a duck) which is incubated for a period of 30 to 53 days, depending on the local culture, and then steamed. The contents are eaten directly from the shell. Balut that is incubated for longer periods have a well-developed embryo and the features of the duckling are recognizable. Ruben "Balot" Doctora Jr. (born May 17, 1986) is a Filipino footballer who plays for Philippines Football League club Stallion Laguna F.C. as a striker. Doctora is the captain of his club. Kevin Roxas Balot (born November 25, 1991, Matatalaib Tarlac, Philippines) is a transgender beauty queen titleholder, model, and actress.
