Ballymartle GAA (''CLG Baile an Mhairtealaigh'') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the village of Riverstick in County Cork, Ireland. The club fields both Gaelic football and hurling teams in competitions organized by Cork County Board. The club is part of the Carrigdhoun division of Cork. The club has achieved most of its success in hurling. At Underage they come together with fellow neighbours Belgooly to form ''Sliabh Rua'' who were White and Maroon Colours. The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA; ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael ; CLG) is an Irish international amateur sporting and cultural organisation, focused primarily on promoting indigenous Gaelic games and pastimes, which include the traditional Irish sports of hurling, camogie, Gaelic football, Gaelic handball and rounders. 2010 Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship
The 2010 Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship was the seventh staging of the Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 2004. The championship began on 4 June 2010 and ended on 10 October 2010. On 30 July 2010, Fr. O’Neill’s were relegated from the championship following a 1-15 to 0-10 defeat by Aghabullogue. On 10 October 2010, Ballymartle won the championship following a 2-14 to 0-13 defeat of Tracton in the final. It remains their only championship title in this grade. Tracton's Ronan Walsh was the championship's top scorer with 2-57. It remains a record cumulative score for a player in a single championship. Bobby O'Regan
William O'Regan (10 June 1920 – 17 November 2012), known as Bobby O'Regan, was an Irish hurling, hurler who played for Cork GAA, Cork Championship club Ballymartle GAA, Ballymartle. He was also a member of the Cork senior hurling team at various times and usually lined out at midfield or as a forward. Career O'Regan first came to prominence as a hurler at club level with Ballymartle GAA, Ballymartle. His prowess earned him selection on the Carrigdhoun GAA, Carrigdhoun divisional team and he was at midfield when they were beaten by Glen Rovers GAA, Glen Rovers in the 1945 Cork Senior Hurling Championship#Final, 1945 Cork SHC final. He won a Cork Junior Hurling Championship, County Junior Championship medal with Ballymartle in the twilight of his career in 1952. Darren McCarthy (hurler)
Darren McCarthy (born 5 October 1990) is an Irish hurler who plays as a midfielder for the Cork senior team. Born in Cork, McCarthy first played competitive Gaelic games during his schooling at Coláiste Chríost Rí. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Cork minor team before later joining the under-21 side. He joined the senior panel during the 2012 league. McCarthy spent a number of years as sub-goalkeeper before being switched to the forwards. At club level McCarthy is an All-Ireland medalist in the intermediate grade with Ballymartle. In addition to this he has also won one Munster medal and one championship medal in the premier intermediate grade. Playing career Club McCarthy plays his club hurling with Ballymartle. Brian Corry (born 1995 in Sixmilebridge, County Clare) is an Republic of Ireland, Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Sixmilebridge GAA, Sixmilebridge and with the Clare GAA, Clare senior inter-county team. Playing career Club Corry plays hurling with his local club in Sixmilebridge GAA, Sixmilebridge. He has enjoyed success with his club winning the Clare Senior Hurling Championship in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020. The South East Cork Junior A Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Carrigdhoun Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1929 for junior Gaelic football teams in the southeastern region of County Cork, Ireland. The 2006 Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship was the 97th staging of the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork GAA, Cork County Board in 1909 Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship, 1909.
