''Ballers'' is the second studio album by American hip hop group, 504 Boyz. It was released on December 10, 2002, through The New No Limit and was produced by Donald XL Robertson with additional production by newcomer Todd Moultrie on the reggae influenced My Life is Sweet. The album peaked at number 49 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and number 13 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The members that perform on this album include Master P, Silkk The Shocker, Magic, Krazy, Choppa, T-Bo and Curren$y Shante Scott Franklin (born April 4, 1981), better known by his stage name Currensy (often stylized as Curren$y), is an American rapper. 504 Boyz
504 Boyz were an American hip hop group from New Orleans, Louisiana named for the New Orleans area code. The original 504 Boyz, Master P (as "Nino Brown"), Mystikal (as "G. Money"), Silkk The Shocker (as "Vito"), C-Murder, and Krazy, released their first album, 'Goodfellas' in 2000. Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums is a music chart published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine that ranks R&B and hip hop albums based on sales in the United States and is compiled by Nielsen SoundScan. The chart debuted as Hot R&B LPs in the issue dated January 30, 1965 in an effort by the magazine to further expand into the field of rhythm and blues music. It then went through several name changes, being known as Soul LPs in the 1970s and Top Black Albums in the 1980s, before returning to the R&B identification in 1990 and affixing a hip hop designation in 1999 to reflect the latter's growing sales and relationship to R&B during the decade. From 1965 through 2009, the chart was compiled based on reported sales at a core panel of stores with a "higher-than-average volume" of R&B and/or hip-hop album sales to monitor buying trends of the African-American community. Shante Scott Franklin (born April 4, 1981), better known by his stage name Currensy (often stylized as Curren$y), is an American rapper. In 2011, he founded the label Jet Life Recordings. Music career 2002–2008: No Limit and Young Money In 2002, Currensy was signed to Master P's No Limit Records and was a late addition to the 504 Boyz. The song "Get Back" by 504 Boyz, produced by Donald XL Robertson, was featured on the 2003 film ''Malibu's Most Wanted'' soundtrack. Darwin Turner, better known by his stage name Choppa, is an American rapper and songwriter. History Early career While as a teenager Choppa worked on his lyrical skills as a hobby, but he felt his destiny was in professional sports. Krazy, born Michael Wilson, is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. He formally started his music career in a rap group called, Murder Inc. Krazy later signed to No Limit Records and joined the 504 Boyz in 2000. Awood Johnson Jr. (August 16, 1975March 1, 2013), better known by his stage name Magic (or Mr. Magic), was an American rapper from New Orleans, best known for his stint with No Limit Records in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Silkk The Shocker
Vyshonn King Miller (born June 18, 1975), better known by his stage name Silkk the Shocker, is an American rapper and actor. He originally went under the stage name Silkk, but later adopted Silkk the Shocker after the release of his first album. He has now signed partnership with his brother Master P and his nephew Romeo label No Limit Forever. Percy Robert Miller Sr. (born April 29, 1967), known by his stage name Master P, is an American rapper, record executive, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur.
